There are quite a few things that we should do to keep our data secure yet we don’t. Backing up data is one of the most important thing recommended and we just shy away it as some unnecessary preach. PIM Backup is a small utility you can use to backup your data and it has nice features to help you do that without any hassle. It allows you to choose what contacts, taks and likes you wanna backup and you may also schedule it. The custom option allows you to pinpoint the files or folders you want to backup and it even allows you to create more than one copies of your backup.

The information can be stored in two ways, one is binary mode and the other is text one. The binary mode has a speed advantage but you can not convert text data to binary and vice versa. You can also see the data on your PC which supprts the text format. Backups are fast and they don’t cause any problemif you don’t use the MMS a lot. It loses out on backing up images of MMS for some reason.

It wont replace your commercial application but nevertheless it has cool features to give it a try, or use if you are not a power user.
